Toxic products – safety comes first

Extremely toxic intermediate products often result from chemical reactions and need to be stored under very strict safety precautions. Even tiny amounts of these substances can cause serious health damage. It comes as no surprise therefore that all the production equipment as well as the implemented measurement technology has to meet very high demands on quality and workmanship.

Level detection with VEGASWING 63

The tried-and-true VEGASWING 63 with metallic process separation offers a high standard of safety. To make sure that no toxic substance can escape even in the event of corrosion on the tuning fork, a glass feedthrough is welded in (second line of defense). This ensures maximum safety.

VEGAPULS 66 with ceramic seal

Due to physical aspects, the radar measuring principle is particularly suitable for level measurement of toxic products. With this version of VEGAPULS 66, the microwaves are not transmitted through PFTE, but rather via special ceramic components. Because the components are soldered into a metal container and sealed with graphite, the requirements for measurement of toxic substances are met.
